'Request failed' error when adding a form key payment

When adding a form key payment, the following error appears:

EPASS Payment Prcoessing

Request failed.

Step1: Http request error: WebException: StatusCode=[403]

StatusDescription=[Forbidden] The server server returned an error:

(403) Forbidden. – Source: ePASSPayment.Common.HttpRequest

[OK]

If you receive this error, it means that one of the lines on the invoice has an illegal character (ie, exclamation points or parenthesis). Remove any special characters and try again.
